The data below are from the MODIS sensor on the Terra Satellite. They represent a color infrared image of north central Indiana with the Huntington Reservoir in the upper right and Covington, IN in the lower left. The data represent the Level-1B processed, 250 meter resolution MODIS data. They have not been projected into similar map projections and corrected for geometric artifacts due to the different sensor paths for the two dates. This is the reason that portions of the image are replicated in the 7/13 image and that the two images are of different sizes.
The red color represents green vegetation. Black represents water. Note the comparison of the width of the Wabash River in the two images from around Delphi on south. Also note the change in the sizes of the three reservoirs (Mississinewa, Salamonie, and Huntington) in the upper right.
