PECORA CONFERENCE

Some excellent posters advertising the Thirteenth Pecora Symposium on August 20-22, 1996 have been distributed on many bulletin boards on campus (if you want a personal copy, please send us a note). The Pecora Conference is one of the "must" Conferences for people with Remote Sensing interests. It will be held at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The principal objectives of the Pecora 13 Symposium are:
  1. To better identify information requirements, and determine current information deficiencies, for addressing issues related to human interaction with the environment;
  2. To report progress in mapping, monitoring and characterizing the biosphere and the extent and nature of human activity via remote sensing technology;
  3. To define opportunities for enhancing progress in using remote sensing to enhance the quality of human life and for protecting the global environment.
For more details, see the Pecora Homepage at http://edcwww.cr.usgs.gov/pecora13.html#papers.
